The present invention refers to a novel hammer-type link for removing fibre from agave, which is manly manufactured of chromium-and nickel-alloyed steel, including a cementing process for hardening the surface thereof of 80 HV and with a penetration of 10% of the round steel diameter, said link is characterised in that it is coupled to the end portion of: a) a chain with three conventional links, which is fastened by an end portion thereof to a rotor and the remaining end portion coupled to: b) a hammer-type link which impact area is performed by the half portion of the body being made in a single solid piece, while the remaining half portion has a circular shaped perforation of 30 mm for passing the chain therethrough, which avoids turns of the chain and strikes or fractures with the rest of the chain links.
