摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoidless driving device using a shaft sealing mechanism highly precisely controlling the amount of leakage of a fluid by adjusting the amount of expansion of a sealing member with the quantity of an external electric signal or the like to adjust a contact surface pressure. <P>SOLUTION: The driving device is fitted with: a feed leakage channel 137 for feeding the fluid to a cylinder part 130a having a piston 130b via leakage channels 140 and 141; and a device body 131 having drainage leakage channels 138 and 139 for discharging the fluid outside. In this device body 131, the shaft sealing mechanism having a plurality of channel-switchable shaft sealing bodies 132 to 135 is provided. This shaft sealing mechanism is provided with the shaft sealing bodies made out of a polymer material which is expanded/contracted or deformed via an electric external stimulus, and a channel for streaming a leaked fluid by providing the electric external stimulus to this shaft sealing body to expand/contract or deform the shaft sealing body. The fluid is fed into or discharged from the cylinder by this shaft sealing mechanism, thereby driving the piston in the cylinder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
