PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carton having a locking mechanism configured such that respective side flaps of the side face parts of the carton are firmly stuck together, thereby improving the strength of the side face parts, and a lid body and an accommodating body can securely be locked at the side face parts. SOLUTION: The carton 10 has the accommodating body 2 and the lid body 1 connected in a vertical direction. The carton has the locking mechanism. In the locking mechanism, lock pieces 7 are formed on the side flaps 5 connected to the left and right sides of the accommodating body, the side flaps connected to the left and right sides of the lid body are stuck to the inside of the lid body, thereby forming locking grooves 6. The lock pieces and locking grooves are engaged with each other. Thus, the lid body and the accommodating body are locked together in the side face parts.
