PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device easily securing retentivity of the valve timing. SOLUTION: This valve timing adjusting device includes a peripheral surface part 20 of a driven rotary body 6, a first wedge surface part 21 for reducing an interval in the radial direction with the peripheral surface part 20 in the driven rotary body 6 to the ignition timing delay side, a second wedge surface part 22 for reducing an interval in the radial direction with the peripheral surface part 20 in the driven rotary body to the ignition timing advance side, a first rolling element 23 interposed between the peripheral surface part 20 and the first wedge surface part 21, a second rolling element 24 interposed between the peripheral surface part 20 and the second wedge surface part 22 on the ignition timing advance side more than the first rolling element 23, an elastic member 25 for energizing the first rolling element 23 to the ignition timing delay side and energizing the second rolling element 24 to the ignition timing advance side, a first actuator 30 for generating pressing force for pressing the first rolling element 23 to the ignition timing advance side by the driven rotary body 6, a second actuator 31 for generating pressing force for pressing the second rolling element 24 to the ignition timing delay side by the driven rotary body 6, and a control circuit 16 for controlling generation of the pressing force by the actuators 30 and 31.
