The sealing has two stagnant and rotating sliding rings (4, 5) sealed against water, and another two rotating and stagnant sliding rings (8, 9) sealed against stern tube oil. The two sliding rings at a housing interior space are separated by an air space. A potential leakage fluid is discharged inwardly from a water side and/or a stern tube oil side, so that technical environmental level for an ocean and a harbor is established. The air space is displaced against a gas and/or a fluid. Pressing force for the sliding rings does not experience mechanical force changes during axial wave motions.
