<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotational angle detection apparatus excellent in both assemblability and maintainability and provided with an input shaft structure in which the occurrent of abnormal noises is suppressed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotational angle detection apparatus includes: an input shaft 20 rotatably supported at a housing 10 via a bearing in such a way as to input rotational displacement to a rotational angle detection sensor 2 arranged in the housing; a rotation input member 30 fixed to a protrusion part 21 of the input shaft protruding from a tube end part 11 of the housing; and an elastic oil seal 40 for sealing a ring-like space between the input shaft and the tube end part. An extension part 44 of the oil seal on the side of the tube end part is interposed as an elastic member between the rotation input member and the tube end part with the sliding member 50 superposed in the shaft direction of the input shaft.
