<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image forming apparatus that can execute an appropriate image formation according to purpose of use when carrying out a both sides image formation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a circulating type recording paper carrying mechanism feeding recording paper with an image formed on one side to a transfer position again by reversing the front and the back, both one side image formation and both sides image formation can be executed and color image formation can be carried out by superposing toners of a plurality of colors.
