The method involves oversampling a received signal, based on an oversampling factor, during a synchronization phase. Selection information for duration sample is obtained. The selection information is compared with a reference pattern. The sampling instant of the samplings is selected as a synchronization point based on the comparison results. Periodic synchronization pilot symbol sequences are predefined in a manner to perform a combination of sequences based on the function maximizing characteristic of the selection information when the synchronization is correct. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a digital signal emitted by an emitter and received by a receiver (2) a method for constructing a digital signal (3) a device for temporally synchronizing a digital signal comprising a synchronization unit (4) a computer program product downloaded from a communication network and/or stored on a readable support by a computer and/or executable by a microprocessor comprising an program code instruction for executing a method for temporal synchronizing a digital signal.
