<p>A method for enhancing charging rules in packet data service includes: allocating an identifier for identifying a charging rule and the identifier provided by a CRF is stored by a TPF. The identifier is used to identify the charging rule or a service data flow filter. Therefore, when the CRF provides action indication and identifier for the TPF, the TPF performs a corresponding operation on the charging rule or on the service data flow filter according to the identifier. A method for performing modifying operation or installing operation on the charging rule is also disclosed, which avoids redundant information between the CRF and the TPF and reduces greatly the message flow load between the CRF and the TPF. In addition, a mechanism for the TPF to return operation response to the CRF is also disclosed, so that the CRF can get the status of operations performed by the TPF.</p> |
