<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a portion invisible from the surface of a new floor material, to be nailed to firmly connect the new floor material to an old floor material and to make the head of a driven nail invisible. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A part of a base material of the new floor material is provided with an uncovered region not provided with a surface material, and the new floor material is spread all over the old floor material. The uncovered region of the base material of the new floor material is stuck to the old floor material with nails, and the uncovered region stuck with the nails is covered and bonded with an auxiliary surface material of the same quality as a surface material.
