PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To observe a picked-up image by an imaging element and an ultrasonic tomographic image on the same screen with an image in color without an unnatural feeling. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic endoscope apparatus includes: an endoscope 3 with an ultrasonic probe and the imaging element mounted at the distal end; a video image processor 5 which image-processes a picked-up image signal by the imaging element, which is outputted from the endoscope 3, and also generates a signal as an image signal close to red, so as to output the image signal; an ultrasonic image processor 7 having a mixer 7b which image-processes the detection signal of the ultrasonic probe, which is outputted from the endoscope 3, generates the signal as the image signal close to blue, and mixes the image signal close to blue with the output signal of the video image processor 5 by picture-in-picture; a monitor 9 for displaying the output signal of the ultrasonic image processor 7 on the screen as the image; and a correction circuit 11 arranged between the video image processor 5 and the mixer 7b and emphasizing red.
