METHOD AND ASSEMBLY FOR VIDEO-CODING, VIDEO-CODING COMPRISING TEXTURE ANALYSIS AND TEXTURE SYNTHESIS, CORRESPONDING COMPUTER PROGRAM AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for video-coding including texture analysis and texture synthesis which enables reproduction of texture, without impairing visual quality, at all, while reducing the transmitted video data.

SOLUTION: The method is analyzing a video-scene texture whereby an encoder by a method such that a synthesized texture region is determined. Video-scene coding is performed with use of data for the synthesized texture region. Information on the texture of the region, metadata used for describing the determined region and the synthesized texture are generated. Coded data and metadata are evaluated by a decoder, in such a way that the video scene is generated by the synthetically generated texture by means of evaluation of metadata for the region in which the video-scene is determined.
