<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip fitting for a fault point locator that is mounted to an aerial distribution line in a short time and has very little risk of falling by wind and the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The tip fitting for the fault point locator is configured from a first tip fitting 2 attached to a middle line 20 and a second tip fitting 3 attached to outside lines 21, 22, and the first tip fitting 2 includes a first hook part 4 that is hanged on the middle line 20 and a first terminal part 7 on which an electrical terminal 6 can be mounted, and the second tip fitting 3 includes a second hook part 14 that is hanged on the outside line and a second terminal part 17 on which an electrical terminal 16 can be mounted. An arm member 10 on which the second tip fitting 3 can be hanged is disposed in the first tip fitting 2, and the second hook part 14 is removably attached to this arm member 10. When attached to the aerial distribution line, the second tip fitting 3 is attached to the arm member 10 of the first tip fitting 2, and the first tip fitting 2 is attached to the middle line 20.
