SUBSTRATE HAVING A LAYER OF GOLD (III) AND PROCEDURE FOR PREPARATION THEREOF

Substrate the melting point whereof is between 1300°C and 1600°C having a layer of micromonocrystals of gold (III), said micromonocrystals having terraces of an area between 1.5 and 10.0 µm2 and a roughness of less than 1 Å. This substrate is manufactured by a preparation procedure comprising stages of deposition of a sputtered gold layer and thermal treatment of the gold deposited. The substrates are useful as supports for microscopy, as biosensors and as electrodes.
