<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall device allowed to discolor according to temperatures which can gradually discolor the color of the wall of a room even if the room is relatively distant from a site when a fire occurs, which provides a warning effect, and which can provide much time for the persons in the room to escape. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A temperature-discoloration layer is applied to the surface of a wall plate. The temperature-discoloration layer comprises the mixture of a Japanese oil lacquer and a temperature-discoloration agent. The temperature-discoloration agent is joined to the wall surface by the Japanese oil lacquer. When the temperature-discoloration agent receives a temperature rise, the temperature-discoloration agent can produce discoloration, and the wall can provide the effect of color change.
