<p>Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent element having a plurality of organic layers arranged between an anode and a cathode and including a light-emitting layer. The organic electroluminescent element is characterized in that a compound represented by general formula (1) and a compound represented by general formula (2) are independently contained in at least one of the organic layers. (In this connection, the compound represented by general formula (1) and the compound represented by general formula (2) may be contained in a same layer or in different layers.)
