<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the energy use efficiency of an electric automobile. <P>SOLUTION: A Ravigneaux type compound planetary gear mechanism 20 is integrated into a hybrid mechanism 15 connected to a drive wheel 19. A motor generator M1 is connected to a sun gear S1 of the compound planetary gear mechanism 20, and a motor generator M2 is connected to a sun gear S2 of the compound planetary gear mechanism 20. Also, a drive wheel 19 is connected to a carrier C of the compound planetary gear mechanism 20, and a fly wheel FW is connected to a ring gear R of the compound planetary gear mechanism 20. The torque of the motor generators M1 and M2 is controlled, so that it is possible to accelerate the drive wheel 19 while decelerating the fly wheel FW, and that it is possible to accelerate the fly wheel FW while decelerating the drive wheel 19.
