PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for encoding video, and a method and an apparatus for decoding video are provided to generate a new prediction block by changing each pixel inside prediction block through a post processing operation for the prediction block. CONSTITUTION: A prediction unit(110) generates a first prediction block for an encoded current block, and a postporcess unit(140) changes the value of each pixel that constitutes the first prediction block in order to generate a second prediction block. The each pixel value is changed through the operation using each pixel and at least one peripheral pixel. An encoding unit encodes the difference value between the current block and the second prediction block.
