ACCESS TABLE LOOKUP FOR BUS BRIDGE

PURPOSE: Access table lookup for a bus bridge is provided to frequently search information necessary in an access table caching register, thereby minimizing necessity of searching the access table lookup. CONSTITUTION: A bridge including a caching register receives a data request. The caching register comprises routing information. The data request is matched in the routing information of the caching register. The data request is routed using the matched routing information. The caching register is updated to reflect an access table hit(628).
