PURPOSE: A destination setting method of a car navigation system, and a device are provided to increase the using frequency of the car navigation system by easily searching and setting a destination. CONSTITUTION: A destination setting method of a car navigation system is as follows: Ordinary language information about a destination is input(S301). The ordinary language information in which searching key words are input is analyzed and extracted(S302). The extracted searching key words are set as a searching condition, and a key factor corresponded with the searching key words is searched(S304). The destination basic information corresponded to the key factor information is searched and output(S305,S306). One destination is selected among the output destination list, and displayed(S307).
