<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture high-quality fiber-reinforced resin pellets by installing a gear pump on this side of the die on the extruder front end and preventing the fiber, which is blended with the resin, from being cut or shortened. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method and equipment for manufacturing the fiber-reinforced resin pellets includes the following method and structure: the fiber (7a), which is to be supplied from the side-feed feed port (6) or vent hole part (9) to the molten resin in the extruder (1), is supplied and mixed; the resin is formed as the fiber-reinforced strands (12) through the gear pump (11) and the die (10) installed in the front end of the extruder (1); and the strands are cut by the strand cutter (15) to produce the fiber-reinforced resin pellets (14).
