PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain pipe that can suitably prevent the damage or the like of the drain pipe due to friction between the drain pipe and a hole wall when burying the drain pipe underground using a rock drill, and to provide a drain pipe burying method. SOLUTION: A jacket pipe 1 is connected to a lost bit 3 provided at the tip of a rod 2, and buried underground with the advance of the lost bit 3 advanced by the transmission of rotary excavating force of the rock drill 8 transmitted through the rod 2. The jacket pipe 1 comprises a pipe jacket 11 provided with a tip mouthpiece 12 and a rear end mouthpiece 13 at the tip part and the rear end part thereof.
