PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device mounted with a battery of large capacity which has high operation continuity and excellent safety. SOLUTION: The power supply device is provided with a battery unit 1 in which a plurality of battery sub-units 11-13, in which an active circuit breaking element 114 and a plurality of battery cells 111-113 connected in series are connected in series, are connected in parallel, and a control circuit 2 which cuts off the active circuit breaking element of the battery sub-unit including the abnormal battery cells when an abnormality of the plurality of battery cells in the battery sub-unit constituting the battery unit is detected.
