<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently manufacturing a thermistor which has a small electric resistance at room temperature even when barium titanate is a main component, and further has a desired PTC property, and to provide the thermistor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A dispersion liquid whose main component is BaTiO<SB>3</SB>and in which nanoparticles having an average diameter of 5 nm to 500 nm are dispersed in a predetermined solvent is prepared. A substrate and the other opposed electrode are immersed into the dispersion liquid to form a film by the electrophoresis method for applying a predetermined voltage between both electrodes.
