<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of suppressing inflow of a refrigerant from a refrigerant communication pipe to an indoor unit by releasing the refrigerant in the atmosphere to reduce the refrigerant pressure of the refrigerant communication pipe and thus, enhancing safety. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1 using CO2 as a refrigerant is provided with the indoor unit 4, an outdoor unit 2, the refrigerant communication pipe 10 and a control part. The refrigerant communication pipe 10 connects the indoor unit 4 to the outdoor unit 2. The control part controls the indoor unit 4 and the outdoor unit 2. The indoor unit 4 has a CO2 sensor. The CO2 sensor detects the CO2 amount in the indoor air. The outdoor unit 2 has an atmosphere release solenoid valve 25. The atmosphere release solenoid valve 25 releases the refrigerant in the atmosphere. When the CO2 sensor detects predetermined amount of CO2 in the indoor air, the control part opens the atmosphere release solenoid valve 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
