<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active ingredient of a glutathione-S-transferase expression promoter having a sufficient effect for promoting the expression of glutathione-S-transferase. <P>SOLUTION: Provided are a glutathione-S-transferase expression promoter containing an Araliaceae ginseng extract as an active ingredient, and an external preparation for skins containing the glutathione-S-transferase expression promoter.
