PURPOSE: An intra prediction method and an apparatus thereof and an image encoding/decoding method and an apparatus using the same are provided to accurately predict a current block that a user wants to encode, thereby reducing the difference between a real block and a predicted block. CONSTITUTION: A weighted pixel value calculator(410) adds weighted values to pixel values of each adjacent pixel. The weighted pixel value calculator calculates weighted pixel values. A predictive pixel value calculator(420) calculates prediction pixel values of each pixel of a current block using the weighted pixel values. The weighted pixel value calculator differently adds the weighted values according to distance.
