PURPOSE: A digital contents protection system and a method thereof for managing contents by use count or time limit of the contents are provided to prevent the contents data from being exposed from a URL address by receiving contents data through an application file. CONSTITUTION: A URL(Uniform Resource Location) generating unit(210) generates a service URL address. A contents data is offered through the service URL address. A contents management unit(220) manages authority information about contents data. The service URL address comprises the identifying information of contents data, the use authority information and application file information. A content providing server transmits contents data to the subscriber terminal.
