<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently compress the data structure of an XML document compressed by use of a template by recompression by use of the template. <P>SOLUTION: In the data compression device 101, input data 108 including a plurality of apexes each having a type and a value and apex-to-apex reference information are separated to cross reference related data having the apex-to-apex reference information and apex group data by a separation means 107, the separated apex group data are outputted as second output data 110, and the cross reference related data having a specific pattern are stored in a template accumulation means 102 as a template capable of sharing the apex-to-apex reference information. From the separated cross reference related data, a matching point corresponding to the stored template is detected by a matching point detection means 103, and when the matching point is substituted by a template substitution means 11, an apex with an instruction showing a substitution point is provided so that it can be re-substituted by the template. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
