PLASTIC COIL BAFFLE FOR FUEL TANK AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A plastic coil type baffle for a fuel tank and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce the fuel flow sound by easily mounting a baffle to the desired location of a fuel tank by bending both ends of a metal plate inserted into a hollow of a plastic coil. CONSTITUTION: A plastic coil type baffle for a fuel tank is composed of a cylindrical plastic coil(22) and a metal plate(24). The cylindrical plastic coil is formed in a hollow type. The cylindrical plastic coil is randomly twisted by the rotation of an extrusion die. The metal plate is inserted through the hollow of the plastic coil. Both ends of the metal plate are fixed to the desired location of a fuel tank. A mounting end is formed at both ends of the metal plate. The mounting end is vertically and dually bent dually from the both ends of the metal plate. The cylindrical plastic coil is made of one of polyamide, polypropylene, and acetal.
