PURPOSE: A method for detecting a skew of an optical pickup is provided to measure a voltage of each cell configuring a photo diode of an optical pickup, and to detect an amount of skew of the optical pickup. CONSTITUTION: While fabricating an optical disk device(S10), a tool controls a reference voltage, measures a power of an optical pickup for the reference voltage, and sets a desired laser power(S11). An A/D converter converts a voltage of each cell into a digital signal while setting the laser power, and outputs the converted signal(S12). The tool detects an amount of skew of the optical pickup by using the voltage value of each cell(S13). The tool decides whether the optical pickup is inferior from the detected skew(S14).
