The system has an edifice (10) equipped with a roof. The roof comprises parallel and non-coplanar panels (16a-16d) for carrying photovoltaic cell modules (40). The panels are configured such that 80 percentages of a total surface of the panels is covered by the photovoltaic cell modules. The panels are inclined for an angle with respect to a horizontal direction of the edifice, where the angle is comprised between 5-12 degrees.
