PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe wheelchair preventing falling or the like while a user gets in/out thereof. SOLUTION: This wheelchair 1 is provided with a getting-in part 2 from which the user gets in, a frame part 3 supporting the getting-in part, a rotation part 4 disposed in the frame part and rotationally turning in moving, and a brake part 10 preventing the turning of the rotation part, wherein the brake part is configured to be changed over between a perfect prevention mode preventing the turning, or the rotation of the rotation part in both of one direction and its inverse direction, and a partial prevention mode preventing the rotation of the rotation part in one direction alone.
