The connecting element (3) has a joint head on which a cam follower is supported in a movable manner by a joint socket. A lower section (12) comprises elongate side pieces (16) that are spaced apart from each other. The side pieces define a recess (15). The side pieces exhibit an uneven cross-section profile in engagement region of inner sides of the side pieces, such that one of the side pieces has increased rigidity when compared to the side pieces that exhibit even cross section profile, where the rigidity is opposed in a direction of the joint socket to deflect the lower section.
