<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm a returning position for parking a vehicle by a driver. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device mounted on the vehicle and parking the vehicle at a target parking space photographs an image of a rear side of the vehicle, superposes first and second guide lines at predetermined first and second positions on the photographed image, respectively, and displays the superposed image on a display device. The first position is set so that the first guide line (G1) is displayed on a line (61) along a first side (S1) for indicating an entrance of the parking space where the vehicle intrudes for parking when the vehicle is positioned at the desired returning position where the vehicle is switched from advancement to retreating in order to park the vehicle at the parking space. The second position is set so that the second guide line (G2) is displayed on lines (67, 69) along second sides (S2, S3) extending from one end of the first side in a vertical direction when the vehicle is positioned at the returning position.
