A device and method for arranging vials can efficiently arrange the vials in the same arranging place. A device for arranging vials comprises arm members (150) for holding a vial (1) and also comprises a conveying means (58) for conveying the vial (1) held by the arm members (150) to a vial arranging section (202).  The layout of vials (1) in the vial arranging section (202) can be set according to the number (n) of the vials (1) conveyed into the same vial arranging section (202).  The conveying means (58) can advance and retract the arm members (150) in at least two or more directions in the vial arranging section (202).
