PURPOSE: A preheater for a mold and a mold temperature control method using the same are provide to reduce the time for heating the mod by preheating the mold and then connecting a temperature controller to the mold to regulate the mold temperature. CONSTITUTION: A preheater for a mold comprises a case(3), a first steam inlet part(7) through which external steam of high temperature flows in, a steam outlet part(9) which supplies the steam into the mold(M), a second steam inlet part(13) through which the steam discharged after circulating in the mold flows into the case, a drain part(15) which discharges the steam flowing in the second stream inlet part to the outside, and a cleaning unit(19) which supplies compressed air into the mold to discharge the remaining materials in the mold to the drain part.
