PURPOSE:To provide the titled coating agent which can prolong punch life and can be coated simply by brush coating, by dispersing graphite and MnS2 in a silicone resin. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a coating agent for punching steel plates by dispersing 20-30wt% graphite and 5-20wt% MnS2 is 50-75wt% silicone resin. The silicone resin imparts adhesiveness, wetting properties and base strength to the agent. The graphite imparts lubricating properties (seizing resistance) to the agent. MoS2 imparts lubricating and cushioning properties to the agent. When the thickness of a coated layer 4 formed by the coating agent is not more than 5mu, coating effect can not be obtd. When the thickness is not less than 50mu, an effect on a improvement in punch life is saturated and the coating layer is easily peeled off. Thus, the thickness ranging 5-50mu is preferred. The coated layer can easily be formed by coating the agent on the surface of a steel plate 3 to be worked on a die 2 by brush coating. |
