The invention relates to organopolysiloxane compounds (M) containing N-methylol groups and at least one Si-C bonded group of general formula (1)-R-N(RR), in which Ris a-CHORradical or a-CH(OH)-group that is covalently linked to Ror is an alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, aryl or arylalkyl group covalently linked to Rwith between 1 and 20 C-atoms and the carbon chain can be interrupted by non-adjacent (CO)-,-O-,-S-or NRgroups and optionally can be substituted by CN or halogen; R, R, R, Rand Rare defined as cited in claim 1, with the proviso that at least one of the radicals Ror Rcarries a (C=O) group next to their common bonded nitrogen atom. The invention also relates to a method for producing the organopolysiloxane compounds (M) containing N-methylol groups and to the use of said compounds as coatings and binding agents.
