<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of a core wire to which a core wire barrel is caulked and crimped, at the rear edge of the core wire barrel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This crimp terminal includes only the core wire barrel caulked and crimped to the core wire protruded from an insulating coat layer at the terminal side of a wire having the core wire formed of a plurality of element wires and coated with the insulating coat layer, and it does not include an insulating coat barrel. The core wire barrel 3 caulked and crimped to the core wire 12 is protruded from both right and left ends of a substrate part 4 ranging to an electric contact part 2. In the state that the core wire barrel is caulked and crimped to the core wire, the compression load of the core wire barrel to be applied to the core wire is more reduced at the rear end of the core wire barrel on the side of the electric contact part than at the front end.
