<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device having a long life by solving a contradictory problem of achieving reduction of weight, reduction of size and high-rigidity to strike a high level balance between them. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The wheel bearing has a vehicle body mounting flange 7, which is to be mounted on a knuckle 13, integrated with the outer periphery of an outer member 2, and the root part of the vehicle body mounting flange 7 is shaped in a circular arc state. Bolts insertion holes 11, 12 are formed at a plurality of parts of the vehicle body mounting flange 7. Out of the peripheries A, B, C, D of these bolts insertion holes 11, 12, the peripheries A, B on the side opposite the road surface have their wall-thickness A1 formed greater in thickness than the wall-thickness B1 of the peripheries C, D on the road surface side.
