<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden roll bathtub lid which is formed by engaging a plurality of narrow-width worked wooden plates with each other and is thereby made compact, is easily opened and closed and stored, requires only a small space for storage and which has excellent heat insulation effect compared to a conventional one since the worked plates are worked into rugged shape and have mechanism in which the plates are always in contact with each other, in order to prevent water temperature drop in a bathtub due to a gap between the engaged plates. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The worked plates 2 are formed and arranged in parallel each of which has a recessed part 10 and a projecting part 11 to be deeply engaged with each other to an extent not disturbing rotation and surfaces 13, 14 for stopping the plate at predetermined rotation. A string 5 and an elastic string 17 are inserted through a hole. The elastic string 17 is fixed by a fixing part 6 and the string 5 is inserted through an elastic body 4 and boards 7, 9 and fixed by the fixing part 6.
