<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for collecting/providing publicly operated race information, which reduce a cost, labor and time in organizing a sub-system. <P>SOLUTION: An odds information collecting/providing system 300 includes a distributor 301 which collects the signal of publicly operated race information to be displayed on the race information display device of a racetrack management system 100 or the signal of the publicly operated race information to be printed by a printer. The distributed odds information (video) is encoded into an MPEG image by an encoder 302 and transmitted to the sub-system 200 via Ethernet (R) VPN. The odds information received by the sub-system is decoded by a decoder 307 and outputted as publicly operated race information. The on-the-spot broadcasting of the race is collected by the distributor in the racetrack management system, and transmitted to the sub-system via the Ethernet (R) VPN so as to make an announcement in a building by the sub-system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
