ROPE END FIXING DEVICE

A rope end fixing device is constructed from wedges (2) arranged so as to sandwich a rope (1), holding members (3) for holding an end of the rope (1), elastic bodies (4) inserted between the wedges (2) and the holding members (3), and a socket (5) in which the wedges (2), the holding members (3), and the elastic bodies (4) are inserted. The rope is fixed in position without being bent, which prevents crush of the rope. As a result, contact between rope strands located at the end of the rope and coated with a resin can be avoided, and this enables accurate inspection of the rope by using electric resistance.
