The invention relates to a fitting, comprising a nipple 2 and a clamping sleeve 3, on a high-pressure hose 1 which is reinforced by reinforcement inserts. In the annular gap formed between the nipple 2 and the clamping sleeve 3, said fitting exhibits three functional zones, to be precise a transition zone A in which the said annular gap narrows continuously, then a retaining zone B in which the hose wall is fixed, by positive and/or frictional locking, with respect to any axial forces which may occur, and finally a sealing zone C in which, due to the previous retaining zone B, axial forces of the hose cannot take effect and which thus ensures uniform sealing even in the event of extreme fluctuations in the pressure inside the hose. <IMAGE>
