<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable printing of a character row along a path on the basis of the path and the character row designated by a received command. <P>SOLUTION: A communication interface 11 receives from outside the command which includes the path, the character row drawn along the path, a font size of the character row and mode information. Managers 22 and 23 generate drawing data for printing each character of the designated character row by a designated font size at a position and/or an angle designated by the mode information to the designated path on the basis of the command.
