PURPOSE: A car navigation system and a route indicating method of the same are provided to use icons embodying as flash and to make a driver recognize a location easily. CONSTITUTION: A car navigation system comprises an input unit(120), a CPS receiver(110), a controller(130) and a display unit(140). The input unit inputs the destination location. The GPS receiver receives location information. The controller searches a route of the destination location referring to the received location information. The controller converts and indicates one icon of a guiding information icon and a vehicle traveling icon into a flash icon. The display unit displays a route image, in which the flash icon is applied, in a navigating screen.
