<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that enables a client and a server belonging to different enterprise domains to provide/utilize two-way web-services with few or no changes of firewalls. <P>SOLUTION: A tunnel hub is deployed in a public domain and tunnel gateways are deployed behind firewalls where clients request two-way services and servers provide two-way services. Each tunnel gateway (behind the firewalls) constructs a secure tunnel out through the firewall to a target hub. After the tunnel is created (constructed), a request for service of the first domain enters the tunnel gateway, travels to the tunnel hub in the public domain and further enters a tunnel gateway in a second domain.
