<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the safety of cleaning operation of traveling crawler in a traveling controller of a combine harvester. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The traveling controller for a combine harvester has a constitution that an engine (3) is mounted on the upper side of a traveling chassis (2), a traveling apparatus (4) equipped with the traveling crawler (5) to be driven by a hydraulic continuously variable gear (9) is arranged under the traveling chassis (2), an operation apparatus (7) equipped with a washing setting means (6) for setting a washing mode is arranged at the front upper side of the traveling chassis (2), and a controller (8) that automatically stops the engine (3) when a working oil pressure in the hydraulic continuously variable gear (9) rises to a pressure higher than a pressure caused by an ordinary traveling load is arranged.
