<p>The signalling system has a control circuit (C2) for the direction indicators and a second hazard signalling circuit (C3) allowing both indicators to be operated simultaneously. A switch couples the hazard circuit (C3) to the hazard lamp (DET) unit when a door-opening circuit (C1) is energised. The opening of the doors is prevented if either of the two former circuits (C2,C3) is energised on its own. Pref. the switch for operating the hazard when the doors are being opened has a working contact connected between the gate (V) initiating door opening and the hazard lamp unit (DET) on the side connected to the battery. The driver actuates a switch (C3) at the beginning of each school journey to allow the hazard signal to be given during door opening to alert passing motorists to beware of children.</p> |
